Realme XT Review – Complete Guide

Realme XT review

Realme has launched its new offering in the midrange segment- Again! It seems that Realme is competing with itself and beat the previous phones with new ones’ specsheet. Recently, Realme has launched its new smartphone XT with pretty good specifications. Starting at Rs. 15,999, Realme XT has got a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset, four rear cameras, and 4,000mAh battery life. Does it make it the best midrange smartphone in the market right now? Is it worth buying right now? Let’s check it out in the Realme XT review below:

Design and Display

Realme XT gets the Gorilla Glass 5 back panel with very beautiful curves for a gentle hold in hands. No surprise that the brand has again used the shiny gradient back which looks pretty cool. Neither does it feel slippery nor does it feel cheap. It feels very strong and premium in hands. On the back panel, you can also find the vertical in-line quad-camera module. The button placements are perfect as you can see the power button sitting on the right side while volume rockers get the place to sit on the left edge. On the bottom, you find a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker grille. Realme XT will be available in two color variants: Pearl Blue and Pearl White.

Coming to the display, the Realme XT packs a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. On the top, there is a notch- one of the smallest in the midrange market. The bezels are thin which gives you the viewing unit bigger. The colors come out both vibrant and bright.  The display is layered with Gorilla Glass 5 and also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The in-display fingerprint sensor is pretty fast but the face unlock is even faster. If you are looking to watch movies and play games on this device, rest assured, the experience is going to be pretty great. You can get great discount on electronic items online using Snapdeal coupons.

Under the hood, the Realme XT has got a 10nm Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset coupled with 8 gigs of RAM.  It is the most powerful chipset in the midrange segment right now. Recently, we saw this same processor in Realme 5 Pro. And, the results in Realme XT are better than Realme 5 Pro- in terms of performance and fluidity. The device shows no signs of lags or hiccups even on heavy usage or multitasking. It runs smooth as butter and is powerful like Hulk.  The gaming experience on this device is smooth too. You can run PUBG Mobile on high setting and feel no frame drop.

Realme XT runs Android 9 Pie out of the box coupled with ColorOS 6.0.1 custom skin. The device comes with around 15 bloatware apps which might get on top of your nerves. The custom skins have never been liked by me and the same goes for this skin. Although, this device is one heck of a solid performer.

Talking about the cameras, the Realme XT comes with four rear cameras including 64MP main snapper, 8MP 119-degree ultrawide, a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, you get to see a 16MP selfie camera. The quad-camera setup is surely going to be talking point in the midrange market for a long time. The images come out beautiful- colors come out good and so do the details. Whether in daylight or night, the images come good. In the night, you might find a tad bit of noise but that’s not much of a big deal. As usual, Realme’s XT selfie camera rocks with its pics full of details. Beauty mode does the extra job to make your photo look more punchy and pleasing.

Battery Life

The Realme XT packs a 4,000mAh battery which can easily give you one day of life. The battery is above average and can run for a whole day on a single charge. The device supports VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge with its 20W charger. It takes an hour to take the battery from 0 to 100 which is just perfect. The battery life might be average but who cares if it can give you one full day on a single charge too. You can get latest free job alert updates from fresh hiring.

Final Verdict

Realme XT is a trending name in the smartphone market right now- I mean midrange smartphone market. This device is offering nearly everything at the starting price of Rs. 15,999. From the bigger and better display, beast performance, clearly cutout design, quad-cam setup, and above-average battery life, this device is best in its class. Compare it any other device in this price segment, this device can easily beat that phone. But, the device will surely be going to be beaten by an upcoming midrange smartphone with new specsheet and better deals- thanks to the tight hot competition. Also, it is not only about the competition but Realme might also land up with new better iteration in coming months itself. Realme XT is the best phone in this segment- no doubt. But, if you can wait for a month or two, you will get some better deals.
